WoW Gold Farming Secrets – Three Auction House Gold Making Strategies

Everybody admits that the secret to wow gold farming is to buy low and sell high. After all every real world economy is structured around this same principle and World of Warcraft is no different. The techniques you are going to learn today on how to make gold in WoW stem from years of trial and error to discover exactly what works and what doesn't. So here are three of the most common mistakes most people make it comes to running the auction house.

Three Common WoW Gold Farming Mistakes

1.   Using your main character for wow gold farming.  Many gamers farm items, mats etc. with their mains While this is definitely one way on how to make gold in wow it isn't the best. Why? The game becomes boring, real fast because it changes the way you play. All of a sudden the focus of the game is all about feeding your auction alt. Now you have your main running all over Azeroth feeding your lowbie alt with everything you can spew at him. The game has now shifted. It's no longer about raiding, running end game instances, PvP'ing and ganking lowbies just for fun; it’s now all about your lowbie auction alt. This isn't the way the game is to be enjoyed. Instead it should be about your auction alt feeding your main and not the other way around.

2.   Posting too many lots at once at the auction house. For example you’re sitting on 10 different stacks of ghost mushrooms or a pile of arcane tomes and you list everything you’ve got. Why? You gain nothing by doing this. All you are really doing besides killing the economy for that item is, risk not selling a large chunk of your inventory. In the end it costs you auction re-listing fees (eating up your profits). The other impression you give by throwing up 20 listings of any given item is making it seem like this stuff is way too easy to get and so you’re actually de-evaluating the price for that item. The best solution, stick to listing just 3 or 4 of any given item. Not only will you sell more but you will also command a better price. Trust me this works.

3.   Buying Blues and Greens for re-sale. What? Listen this is true. Buying Blue and Greens and listing them for re-sale is a loser’s game. Think about it for a moment. What is the true demand for any given blue or green? Just look on a few of the auction stat sites out there and you’ll see the demand for any given blue and green is very low. What usually lands up happening is you re-list this thing a bunch of times before it actually sells. Now all your profits were eaten up by the auction house fees. Selling greens and blues for resale, only means you fell into the trap that every wow gold guide says to do. Unless it’s a twink item stay away from selling blues and greens.
