Pre-ordering limited edition games and retailer options in Canada.?
As far as I know, you can pre-order limited editions of video games only from bestbuy.ca online. Is this true? I used Amazon.ca to pre-order Battlefield 3 and did not receive a code for the Back to Karkand free map packs (they did not advertise it, so my bad…) and I do not want to make the same mistake again with Need for Speed: The Run. I saw later that the inventory of Battlefield 3 games Walmart received were all Limited Edition. Do they do this for all of their games when and as they are released? I am wondering if I should even order it online anymore, now that I know they get these Limited Editions for first-day releases. Any other online venders I should know about?
it depends on the game but most retailers including wal-mart , futureshop and ebgames have pre-orders for limited edition versions of games just go into your nearest retailer and either ask or look on the shelf for pre-order options
at wal-mart they put these offers in the same game case as the games are kept , they look like a gift card and are for you to put down a portion and pre-order the game , you then present the card when you pick it up and get that amount off the price
on some games you will see only special editions at release at the retailer ( like ebgames did with medal of honor and with nfs hot pursuit ) but it really is up to that retailer what edition to bring in , so you need to use your voice and ask them and don;t take I don`t know for an answer just because that employee may not know , ask the manager if you need to
it pays to ask questions . I recently was looking at a new game release and was told after asking that if I waited until the week of release they would be including bonus items free with purchase so I waited and got a free game with the one I bought
